The grille allows outside air to enter the cooling tower while stopping large debris and helping control the airflow direction.

Material Choices

Air Inlet Grilles are usually produced from PVC, PP, or CPVC. PVC is widely used for its cost efficiency. PP is chosen when higher strength is needed, and CPVC is suitable for chemical or high-temperature environments.

Structural Design

The grille normally uses fixed or angled blades arranged in a grid pattern. This structure helps air pass through smoothly while blocking large objects such as leaves or plastic waste that may float around outdoor towers.

These grilles are commonly used in industrial cooling towers, HVAC cooling systems, power plants, petrochemical plants, and commercial buildings across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Performance and Airflow Control

A properly designed grille can reduce airflow resistance and improve air distribution inside the tower. This helps the cooling tower operate more steadily, especially during high-load periods.

Selection Points

When selecting an Air Inlet Grille, engineers usually check blade angle, open area ratio, and frame size. The grille should match the air volume requirement without causing unnecessary pressure loss.

Installation and Maintenance

Grilles are normally fixed directly onto the air inlet frame. After installation, regular inspection is recommended to make sure no debris is stuck between the blades. Cleaning can be done with water or low-pressure air.
